I'm telling you guys, the leaking pipes under the foundation story is bullshit. The foundation on the terminal is fucked. Everyone who worked on that thing knew about six months before the free press caught on. There's supposedly a pretty massive lawsuit in the works against Ellis Donkey over it.

I remember hearing some (presumably) construction workers talking about the foundation problems when I was sitting in the Pan Am clinic waiting room back in May/June last year.

Does anyone who the consultants that are involved with the airport?

If the foundation is bad, then unless the contractor installed it wrong, they won't be on the hook for it.

Are you asking who the consultants are? You have a typo and i think that is what you are asking.

Crosier Kilgour & Partners Ltd (Winnipeg) & Yolles Partnership Inc (Toronto) are the structural engineers.

oh man....how could they screw the most important thing up??

I know nothing about buildings or architecture but that seems like a really big thing to screw up.

I believe the lawsuit has resulted in WAA on the hook for the cost to replace the pipes. I dont know all the details but I do recall glancing at a WPG Free Press article several weeks ago. Cant remember when exactly. I do believe a decision was made already. Hence further construction delays.

I Repeat the above from my previous posts.
Unfortuantely you have a less than stellar contractor building a world class facility. Now, how would you think something like that might turn out!

The vendors are given 3 months notice, before the airport can open up.

Any idea what is going replace Mcnally Robinson (Booksellers)?

I notice that james2010.ca is being redirected to www.waa.ca.

Damn it. I've been going to university for 6 years here, all the while eagerly awaiting a new terminal. Now they say they'll open it a couple months after I will leave the country?

I guess I can always fly back and see it in 5-10 years when my friends start getting married

...if it's open by then
