Looks a bit sterile to me....maybe with more people around, it'll look more interesting.

Agreed it seems a bit sterile. I know there's structured parking below, but they could have added in some more trees and plantings to soften up around the edges more.

At some point, this will be filled with tables and seating for the food hall.

I just cannot help but be underwhelmed without much of a retail/restaurant activation along the edges and little to no actual landscaping it's just way too sterile and harsh still.

I wish this project to do well, but I think there are some missed opportunities here.

Just drove by the Dewberry Campanile project and it looks dead as crap. What's up with that? No more construction loan?

apparently Dewberry had some 'changes' to the project, that made the GC bail. He is regrouping and trying to get the GC or another GC engaged. Maybe he can dress this up with some billboards like his other empty properties.

Yes it has been like that for months. The left side of my brain loves that it can see the structural bones of the building, but the right side hates the half-demolished aesthetic.

Yeah I can't say much but there's trouble behind the scenes. Eventually he will get another contractor and probably be super difficult for them too. I imagine if he lets this go on too long, though, the city will give him lots of trouble about it.

I love the de-bunkering of this block.

As they should. I was soooo excited for this project. I hope they work this out soon. Dewberry always seems to have issues. lol

The flatness of the glass on the office building just screams suburban office building rather than something that compliments the original Colony Square towers. The original design intent tried to break down the fenestration better IMO.

I don't think you're being too picky. I think it's a very underwhelming building lacking any visual interest whatsoever. I was really disappointed to see how this turned out.

This is so true... most of the projects going in, feeling like they don't even try anymore. There were a lot of existing elements to the original design, some space age era stonework for example, that they could've incorporated into the new design. Instead they just blew it all up and put in a bunch of glass and steel panels. The boom over the last 10 years, save a few key projects, has been quantity over quality, schedule and budget first. Not a lot of risk taking and faith out there that in the past has made some places really special.

Turned out to be a pretty handsome little building now that it has some finishing touches.

Dewberry is a disgrace to Atlanta, he needs to be fined excessively for his disasters.
