Treefort Music Fest | Downtown Boise ~ a photo collection

For those who are not aware:
Treefort begins on Thursday and I thought it fitting to dedicate a thread to this indie music fest taking place in downtown Boise. This thread will be a work in progress over the next week as the main outdoor stage is built and all of the indoor venue's get ready to host over 300 musical acts, local and international. Boise's Built to Spill will be performing and downtown is going to be one big party next week.

There was an SSP meet last year during Treefort and I was not able to make it so maybe this year we can arrange another one.

Feel free to post your own photos of anything Treefort and downtown in this thread, especially your cell photos from the concerts If anyone is around 12th and Grove when the main stage is being assembled please post some photos here.

Don't be shy people, post your photos

There are more "forts" going on too such as Yoga Fort, Ale Fort and photos from those would be sweet to post here too.

more info:

Here are some photo's to get the thread going. Presumably a lot more photos are on the way!

When you're done, you should definitely approach Treefort with your photo work. They should appreciate it.

Thanks City Of Trees, FutureNorthEnder, and Visualize

Here is another flush I shot today of a few venues, randomness, and the parking lot where the main stage will be. I am hoping other people will contribute photos too because there is going to be a lot of events going on during the week, especially next weekend.

A perfect day for spring skiing up at Bogus.

Awesome. Can't wait to see more.

Unfortunately I'm going to be out of town during Treefort this year. Very bummed I'm going to miss it.

Good idea for a thread. Hopefully there will be some involvement/participation from other forum members in order to keep this thread vibrant through the week until the event ends on Sunday.

Sorry for posting twice in a row, but I found this article interesting. Again, the entire article is at the link:

Quote:
Boise has had deep roots in music for decades. Only now have those roots grown into a blossoming music festival that we Boiseans can call our very own. With Boise being the “City of Trees,” it’s only appropriate that the festival be called Treefort.

Boise has quickly become one of the biggest little cities in our fine country and is perpetually recognized as being a wonderful place to live, work, and play. For a young and active person, Boise offers vast culture in music and arts. There are some extremely talented and and brilliant minds in this place that make Boise so unique.

I love Treefort!! but will not be able to make it to Boise for the event this year. Finally there's another thread worth looking at here and I am looking forward to more.

Thumbs up

I'm doing Treefort again this year. It's like a "staycation" for me now. I take this and all of the next week off work. I met BoiseAirport and Boisetoise last year and had a great time. I know you had another obligation that kept you away last year Sawtooth. Maybe we can meet up this year? I haven't been posting much, but I'm always lurking...

Had to walk the dog before heading back downtown. Here are some rarely seen on SSP views of downtown from Camels Back, looking over the Northend with Trees in honor of Treefort! including a few down in Hulls Gulch.

More Treefort photos from this afternoon and tonight coming soon. Is anyone else going to contribute?

Boisebro resurrected this thread from last year so I guess I will have to post some photos of this years Treefort. I have some random prepix from this last weekend that I will try to post later tonight.

This weekend is going to be sunny and warm, perfect weather. Is anyone else here going to the fest? Alefort?
