the one difference from the original proposal is they seem to have aquired the rest of the block up to the proposed Crescent Hotel.. should make for a very nice block and hopefully an example of what the future riverfront here will look like

still not a100 percent sure what the jung is doing across the street but it appears to be a sort of cmu wall wringing the block with access opening that im assuming will either be manually closed or some type of automated system... curious to see how this looks

I wish Canseco's would put some money into their existing store, especially the one on Elysian Fields. That one is in deplorable condition.

The Canseco's in Arabi is pretty impressive compared to the other stores.

Really is a beautiful development, especially considering previous plans. I think adding some outdoor seating near the actual boarding of the ferry and like a civic/historic gallery space of the Canal Street Ferry would really go a long way too (in addition to timed arrival screens and such).

Durr Heavy Construction’s work on the $1.9M Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) project involved the creation of a bus turn-around located at the existing MSY Airport Rental Car facility in Kenner, LA. The 6,000 sq ft facility includes an overhead canopy shelter with two large bus drop off / pick up lanes and queuing areas for transferring passengers. The facility has over 15,000 sq yds of new concrete paving and 8,000 sq yds of asphalt paving mill and overlay. A large stone detention pond was installed for assisting with rainwater collection for distribution into the City of Kenner’s underground drainage system.

The MSY CONRAC Bus Turn-Around will provide service to the new $1 billion, 35-gate MSY North Terminal which is set to open in fall of 201

my guess is they just want control over it .. even the streets especially if they will be paying for them.. btw those street right of ways they are buying dont exists as actual streets right now.. but i do think a street grid running through there is ideal and the convention center hotel renderings show a road there so i think its just them controlling it as private streets

Google updated the aerial view of the city, looks like it's as recent as a month ago.
