As for Regina, the management team that is in Winnipeg also runs Regina and they get only two flights a day but according to my friend she said again Delta wasn't making any money so they have been pulling one of Regina's flights on certain days of the week so poor Regina has only a one way trip.
I did notice that for a while there was a couple of days that Delta was only flying the late flight in, and not the afternoon. I think they are back to 2 daily every day right now.

I'm flying on Delta this Sunday, and our CRJ is completely full. It seems that most of our Denver flights are completely full as well. I just don't get why United and Delta continue to underserve our markets as our 2 economies are quite strong, and air traffic is at an all time high .... at least in Sask it is.

Manitoba's passenger counts are still actually down from 2007, as that's when Regina and Saskatoon started to get better connections. They shrunk ever year, until last year. they are now again growing, although slowly.

Iceland Express isn't coming back because they don't have any aircraft to fly here (they're down to two). The company they were leasing from went bankrupt.

Very cool award for the WAA. It seems like a pretty high caliber group to be included in and the Travel Channel is a fairly well known channel.

Winnipeg is also listed in the little sidebar thing on the travelchannel site that lists the worlds most beautiful airports.
Great for Winnipeg - congratulations.

I was just thinking about this rumour tonight for some reason. Was it from someone that you would expect to know?

There will be a 7-Eleven/Petro Canada gas station starting construction soon on the grassy area inside the loop as you come into (or exit) the airport.

Yes most major airports have gas stations on site. It will be very convenient for people renting cars plus I'm sure very lucrative for the gas station franchiser.

Also for those Winnipeggers who need one last slurpee before take-off.

I would like to known how much MORE gas would at that station. Gas stations near airports tend to charge a bit more.

Does anyone know A&W might open a franchise inside?
