IMO the awesomest aircraft currently in existence is the V-22 Osprey

I don't have a picture, but the Blackbird (various types) is clearly the coolest plane in history. Apparently there are many SR-71 Blackbirds. I was confused by why the Museum of Flight in Seattle wasn't on the list (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SR-71_Blackbird), so I looked it up. Turns out they have the only M-21 Blackbird in existence
http://www.museumofflight.org/aircra...m-21-blackbird.

PS, I highly recommend the museum. They have the first 707 Air Force One, a Concorde, the original 747, a collection of WWII aircraft, etc...150 rare aircraft and spacecraft total. http://www.museumofflight.org/main-campus

Next year a relocated "Aviation High School" should break ground next door. http://www.aviationhs.org/about_us.htm. Established in 2004, it's basically a publicly-run "academy" for kids looking at aviation or science careers. Awesome concept.

EMB-110P1 Bandeirante (Sudene)

Beechcraft:
King Air (Sudene)

Piper:
28 (This 5min without Brevet flown, just to see, unfortunatly came rain and the sympathic pilot woman had to take over again, but was a great experience)

N-Class US Navy Airship:

5 of those were built for the US Navy. The one shown here is the ZPG-3W, which was the largest airship ever built. It was commissioned in 1958 and decommissioned in 1962 when the Navy ended all airship operations.

Three holers

I happen to like the 757. I least like the A340, not that it is a bad looking plane, just for those of us who like to look out the plane windows, and don't happen to get a window seat, you walk to the back and maybe take a peak out the cabin door window and you are SOL because the little window in the door is the size of a teacup. I also have found the fit and finish on the last few 330/340s that I have flown look unusually worn and don't come close to matching the Boeing signature interior. Will be on an Etihad 346 in a couple of weeks, so I will get a taste of a pretty darn new copy of the bird and made sure to book window seats.

^ is that Navy Airship real bigger than the German ones, Hindenburg for example and Zeppelins? LZ 130 says 224m, see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Zeppelins

Do not expect much from A346, because the 600 version, although longer, the seats are very cheap (for the high-prices we pay for the tickets and the known lalala service) and even narrower than the 300 version. But this in common companies like LH. In Etihad you should expect more of course, i suppose, well, i had this dream flying Etihad one day to see if has real much difference in all classes. The most interesting thing from 600 is the fact all toilets were pushed below with a stairs in cargo area. This was really a good decision, because we smell better inside after some hours...
But of course, i prefer flying the A340 than A330, it has 4 engines, so if happen something similar like AF A330, at least has a chance more, even the shape is much more interesting. So i am afraid of the A350, let's see.

I've never flown on an A340-600 but they are one of my favorite planes from Airbus. I just love the way they look. The 747 is of course better though, and the B747-8 will take the title of longest commercial airliner away from the A346.

I'm surprised nobody has brought up the 787 Dreamliner. It is set to have it's first flight this month:

(yes I know that picture is from over a year ago)

Can we say that B787 will be a next generation of the B767 like the A350 would be for the A330, in terms of replacement and updated products? Even though complete new developed aircrafts, i always immagined that. At least is like i see.

What Are The Five Most Important Issues Facing The Aviation Industry?

National Journal has a very interesting online discussion about the five most important issues for the aviation industry. Here is the link:

http://transportation.nationaljourna...st-importa.php

"Following a Nov. 12 meeting with representatives of the airlines, airports, general aviation, manufacturers, unions and travelers to discuss the state of the aviation industry, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and FAA Administrator Randy Babbitt announced the formation of federal advisory committee to, as LaHood wrote on his blog, "examine the industry, its competitiveness, and its ability to address evolving transportation needs, challenges and opportunities of the global economy."

The committee will be made up of stakeholders from across the industry and will spend the next year devising a blueprint to restore the ailing industry to economic health and competitiveness. In concluding the invitation-only meeting, LaHood asked participants to send him their suggestions on the makeup of the advisory committee and the five issues the panel should address to chart a way forward for aviation. What do you think are the five most important issues that should be on the group's agenda?"

^ the B-2 and F-117 are both wicked bad-ass, but the eternal crown holder in the world of aviation magnificence will always be this bad boy:

honestly, how is that not the coolest looking airplane of all time? it looks like it's going mach 2 even when it's standing still on the ground.

Surely this one was the coolest, at least for passengers. Fortunate the ones who flew with.

Will it have a new one then? It was a pity the few ones abandonned.
