If you could add 5 towers to your skyline.....

The catch is all 5 have to be from different cities in the U.S.

For Seattle I would add:

Atlanta's BOA tower
New York's Woolworth tower
Chicago's Hancock tower
Houston's Pennzoil center
Detroit's One Detroit Center

Mine for Seattle would all be tall residentials. I don't know which ones.

for chicago:

1. ESB - NYC
2. terminal tower - cleveland
3. US steel - pittsburgh
4. columbia center - seattle
5. transamerica pyramid - san francisco

i tried to keep this geared towards taller towers (that i really admire) that would still be able to have some kind of a presence on chicago's mighty skyline.

there are craploads of shorter skyscrapers around the coutnry that i would love to have in chicago too, but i answered this more as a "skyline enhancement" exercise, and in chicago's case, that means towers that are at least 750' tall.

For Boston

45 East 22ave in NYC

Columbia Center in Seattle

BofA center in Houston

150 North Riverside in Chicago

One Atlantic Center in Atlanta

Tried to go with relatively newer buildings that wouldn't completely overtake boston's own skyline.

i don't really care about skyline, but i'd add some central park streetwall to augment the east or west end of forest park in st. louis.

This is really tough. I almost want to add 5 per era! I will leave it to built structures, not even those under construction (which would change my list)

I will do LA, since it's the nearest major skyline to me.

Petronas (somewhere down towards the 10 in South Park)
Jin Mao (over by Chinatown)
Pearl River Tower (fronting FIDM park space)
70 Pine Street (somewhere on Broadway or Main)
Landmark Tower (Little Tokyo)

Philadelphia's skyline doesn't have enough Art Deco and quality masonry so...

In no particular order...

1) 111 Westminster (Providence, RI, USA)

npr.org

2) Gulf Tower (Pittsbrgh, PA, USA)

rugbyrealty.com

3) CitySpire Center (New York, NY, USA)

Stephen Wilcox/Flickr

4) Scotia Plaza (Toronto, ON, CA)

skyscraper-en.wikidot.com

5) Gas Company Tower (Los Angeles, CA, USA)

For NY:

1) Sears Tower (I'd place it on 5th Ave near 432 park)
2) Ping Centre (From Shenzhen; I'd place it in Hudson Yards)
3) International Commerce Center (From Hong Kong, I'd place it in DoBro)
4) Bank of China Tower (I'd place it right where 2 WTC should rise)
5) Oriental Pearl Tower (I'd place it right on Battery Park)

Interesting how a lot of us dig towers from HK. Truly some fantastic architecture there.

For Halifax, Nova Scotia, I'd love to make the height-phobic NIMBYs scream!

NYC- One Penn Plaza. (OMG the NIMBY shrieks would be epic, it's HUGE)
San Francisco- 50 Fremont (I can't help it, it's a cutie)
Dubai- The Address Downtown Dubai
Toronto- First Canadian Place
Dallas- Fountain Place

We really are a society of title readers only.

Only two posters have followed the OP's stipulations so far.
