If the market asks nice enough, it'll happen. They have to be watching it for later.

The plans specify that an additional 20 stories could be built.

With the amount of time it is taking to build each floor, I would not be surprised if they added additional height to the original plan nearly a year from now. They sure have long enough to secure a tenant before they top the Fry's portion.

This project is phased. There's a lot of highrise product on the market coming at once. Things need to settle.

In theory, they are putting the ceiling on the 6th story of the west side, right? Wouldn't it be nice if they started to put more columns in and surprised us with more height!!!!!!!

It's not even close to looking mildly tall at all. Only 3 more floors to go before topping out the office portion of the block. Sure is starting to give an urban canyon feel though. Sat down at Yogi's last night and it's looking dense!

Yes. It's 5 levels of office on top of 3 levels of garage over Fry's.

I think this project is probably the most important one that is being constructed in Phoenix at the moment regardless of lack of height. Having a grocery store downtown will be amazing and increase foot traffic. Plus I'm relieved that the empty lot is finally going to be gone forever. I always hated coming downtown and seeing row after row of cars parked, it was a real eye sore.

Its large floor plates over the parking and the frys so its 5 stories of office on top of the parking and the frys.

It should be about the height of the brown building across the street north of Jefferson becasue the office floors are goign to be high cielinding (like 14 feet) which is popular with modern and tech offices.

What is the timeline for frys opening does anyone know? I could never find the official project time line. I hear 2019 but I would like to know a more detailed month.

The most specific I have heard is 4th quarter. Someone may know more.

Grabbed an update pic this evening. Block 23 is starting to look...filling. The office portion is starting on the 7th floor and the residential portion is starting on the 8th, which puts it at just almost at the halfway mark.

I couldn’t find that info. It’s strange they didn’t mention the that Ernst and Young is already downtown
