MCC certainly has its challenges but work is being done to vastly improve the downtown core over the next 10-15 years. Quite a few projects are already on the go.

^I agree. Progress is being made, and it may have a reasonable chance at resembling a true downtown...provided those horrid 6-10 lane arteries can be removed. I like seeing my downtown from the street, and not from a car window.

thanks for the links.

Edit: just read through the presentation. That's what I am talking about!

The picture below is the site of the new MCC Sheridan College, construction has since started. The college will definitely help move things along...

Are they going to paint over those yellow railings? They really mar what is otherwise a great tower.

Despite the hurt feelings it may cause some, Aqua is the biggest disaster of recent time. Hopefully Absoluteworld will be the correction to that mistake as this new genre begins to mature into better quality.

What Aqua are you talking about? The only one I'm familiar with is the one in Chicago, but it's beautiful.

Great shots. I am following the progression of this project (and MCC in general) with considerable interest.

So interesting to watch these two grow, much easier to wrap ones head around the intricacies of the construction complications than similar mega-towers in Asia.
