Those towers look awesome! I can't help but feel like the crowns might need a little more oomph though. Even if they're not supertalls, they'll still cause a huge impact on the skyline. April 2012 here we come!

One of the towers is a super tall.

Nonetheless, these towers are amazing! Finally, a skyscraper with a shape in Manhattan!! I love the shapes, they are beautiful! NYC is on a roll with all the new and beautiful (and tall!) construction and proposals!

These will have so much presence on the skyline because of their far west side location!

Now someone quickly update this thread's horrendous avatar of the ugly old rendering!!

I am so dying to see one of those beautiful renderings above with One57, the new Park Avenue super tall and the Manhattan West twins also included!

I look forward to getting more renderings of this tower. Its visually interesting and its not surprising as the West Side has continued to provide some of NYCs best architecture in recent years. I love the different glass elements and what looks like a fairly open base. The facade appears to have a lot of depth, and more than any of the renders have revealed so far. It also seems they've taken some good pages from the cladding on 7, which is by far the best tower in NYC in the past 20 years. I'm not surprised they've downsized a bit, but there is plenty of demand, and I wouldn't be surprised if this was a 700 ft tower, which would be spectacular for the area.

NYC is the best!

What other city in a first world nation is building like this? None!!

Related recently confirmed that the first tower, which Coach will anchor, will be slightly over 950 feet, and the second will be 1,250.

The shorter one will be just over 950 feet tall, and the taller one will be just over 1,250 feet tall.

Let's not forget the magnificent greenspace that will be added here as well!

700 ft??? This is confirmed at 950 ft, not 700. The second tower is 1,250ft.

These towers have added to the list of reasons why I'm so happy this is the decade I will really come of age in (I'm currently 22)...in my late 20s-early 30s, this is the New York I want to exist in.

Let's talk about the towers people.

I like the distinctive design for the skyline. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that these towers will be in a neighborhood of towers just as tall. Brookfield's towers are close enough to appear as part of the same complex on the skyline, not to mention the towers to the north. But at least these towers will be built before most, with time to dominate the area.

So this will replace the ugly boxes design with randomly placed boxy tumors?

The possibility of getting new office space at Hudson Yards is starting to attract more than just Coach.

As we were the first to report, the luxury-goods maker signed a deal to buy 600,000 square feet in Related Cos. and Canadian-based Oxford Properties Group’s upcoming 1.7 million square-foot tower by West 30th Street and Eleventh Avenue. Coach was represented by Mary Ann Tighe and Gregory Tosko of CBRE.

Now we’re hearing that Time Warner, which under CEO Jeff Bewkes is intent on downsizing from its owned 864,000 square-foot space at the Time Warner Center and other city locations, may be approached to make a swap to smaller but newer digs in Hudson Yards.

Under the scheme, rather than juggling the sale of its office condo and finding new digs, Time Warner could simply downsize into new space in a new Related tower at Hudson Yards. That would leave Related owning more centrally located office space on top of the Columbus Circle transportation hub, while filling up more of its 5 million square feet on the far West Side.
