PHILADELPHIA | University City Part 1

University City borders Center City to the west across the Schuylkill River in West Philadelphia. University City is the second largest business district in the City of Philadelphia and It is home to the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and several other institutions of higher education. The area is also home to a medical center and several scientific research centers. The area is also home to 30th Street Station. Aside from a large student presence, the area is also home to many singles, young professionals and families (mainly Professors or doctors, etc. who work in the area). Neighborhoods in the boundaries of University City include Cedar Park, Clark Park, Garden Court, Spruce Hill, Squirrel Hill, Powelton Village, Walnut Hill and Woodland Terrace.

Sweet! Love those streetcars, and a lot of those residential streets look strikingly similar to St. Louis' Central West End.

Thanks for so long thread and so many interesting pictures!

I like very much those classic university buildings and, of course, that pretty neighbourhood with so beautiful streets and houses. Besides, I like those so green parks. It must be a nice place for studying, working and to live in.

Congrats and greetings from Madrid, Spain!

Nice thread dude but you should have waited until this week. With the temps in the 80's my head was on a swivel. Got whiplash looking at all the college girls wearing next to nothing.

Thank you for showing my area of our city so well. It has been my home for the last twenty years. It really is as nice as your pictures demonstrate.
