So there appears to be a lot less curtain-wall then the original renderings and models showed.... A little bait and switch?

Nice addition. Too bad about more beige and less glass.

The front sides of the development have much more curtain-wall than the sides. I'll have to see if I can snag some photos soon.

I am in Ireland and just saw a BBC production about Warren Buffet. Omaha looked amazing. The trees were budding and the Leahy Mall and surrounding buildings looked wonderful. Saw the midtown development also. Congratulations to a changing and growing city.

Major bump here, since the last update here was a few months before it opened.

And this one is during the Jazz on the Green concert series that is a long running Omaha tradition.

In all it includes a dine in movie theater, grocery store, fitness club, furniture store and a couple restaurants. Of the 7 buildings 5 have apartments and condos, one is an Element Hotel the last is the movie theater.

I was just in Omaha two weeks ago and visited this project. I must say I was extremely impressed. They didn't fall into the typical "suburban infill" trap of turning completely inward. The result is a development that really helps the neighborhood. Well done Omaha!

Why is it so hard to design a decent marquee these days? This is faux historicism at its' worst. Broadway? Seriously?

the rest of this project is pretty impressive.

Just a small update with this project. They added a permanent stage at the bottom of the park for concerts. During the summer, there's a free concert on Thursday evenings called "Jazz on the Green."

This is from last night, and you can see the stage near the bottom. Thanks to Brad Williams for the shot.
