Yes,yes! Just google 2ifc Hong Kong and you will see a remarkable resemblance to another Pelli supertall from the early 2000's. Just outa the ground it comes and shoots skyward. Brilliant.

I was gonna be a smartass and say thats what the GC keeps asking..seriously though, the curtainwall started a bit slow but they caught the structure up and look in good shape to finish reasonably well.

Wow! Great pix, edwards #3081. Going into the city next week (May 4th exactly). Cannot wait to see it in person. I am sure pictures do not do it justice.

The first level will be glass, covering the mechanical penthouse area and top of the core. The upper three levels, covered in mesh screening, will contain an LED public art feature.

The lighting is spectacular, it'll give the building great presence day and night.

LED Lignting

Slock Thanks for the info. Amazing stuff. I look forward to seeing the LED lights from my apartment! There are several buildings lit at night now & the Salesforce tower lights will add even more excitement to the skyline.

Jim Campbell's LEDs

Jim Campbell - An art installation is available in Grace Cathedral on Nob Hill for those who want to see one of Campbell's art. The cathedral is well worth the visit for that installation as well as the altar piece by Keith Haring near the entrance. There is a request for a donation at the entrance of the cathedral. There is an organ concert on May 7th at 4:00 pm - donation for that event is $10.

Here is a link with a picture of the light art piece which is eerie!
