Wow, i really like this project. This outdoor project kind of reminds me of like what Salt Lake City is about to get. Got some good size towers going there. And i like the design as well.

Yep, well 2/3rds anyway as the new Busch covers part of the old ballpark site. I'd live there just to be close to the bowling museum. I can't wait for them to start. It'll be great to see something substantial go up downtown besides the casino.

Yeah, it's dead. Here's the POS replacing it (it's over 300 ft):

There's talk of a "redesign", which probably won't be much better than what they have right now.

so it's been almost 3 weeks, any word on whether an announcement is imminent? these rumors of a new tower in minneapolis have really piqued my interest.

^Those rumors are still flying around a lot.

The big thing going on is another company downtown wants to move its location so everyone is thinking of a 25-30 story office tower. This isn't related to the rumored 1,000 footer either.

Apparently there is another round of concept design underway. It may be because of potential tenant requests or it may be because someone doesn't like the spandrel color. We'll just have to be patient.

Michi, you want to post pictures of the construction going on at the Greektown Hotel Tower site?

We'll have to take #19 Pacific Flats off the list.
The developer couldn't get the height they wanted.
It looks like this now:

I have a feeling I am going to be very impressed with River House...especially its presence as you enter the downtown on the freeway from the west.

Is it really going to be Michigan's tallest residential building?

The new Caesars Hotel in Windsor is now going to be 35 stories tall. It should be complete in summer 2008. Here's a rendering.

We'll include it, Blitz. After all, Windsor is one of the many suburbs in Metro Detroit. I didn't know the project was expanded. That's great news.

Yes, Michi, upon its completion, River House will be Michigan's tallest. In fact, it will be the tallest by 74 feet with Millender Center Apartments currently Michigan's tallest residential building. Even when the Broderick Tower is converted to residential usage, it will be 37 feet taller.
