This footprint at our residential tower site makes us think of the hundreds of construction workers who are helping to create what will be New York’s most vibrant new neighborhood!

STRONG FOOTING: The largest foundation mat for our residential tower consists of 1200 cubic yards of concrete! Thanks to our dedicated men and women who are completing this monumental task!

The crane for Manhattan West's Southwest Tower was just installed this weekend. We're going vertical next week!

If you look closely at the renovation pics, you can see the partitions built just inside the facade.

MANHATTAN WEST

Quote:
Curtain wall installation continues at 450 West 33rd Street, also known as Five Manhattan West, where an office building from 1969 is receiving a thorough renovation. Developer Brookfield Properties has tasked architecture firm REX with a complete overhaul of the exterior envelope. The sloping precast concrete panels of the original facade will be replaced with glass curtain wall panels.

The Manhattan West development also includes two new office towers and a residential tower, 401 West 31st Street. Designed by SOM, the 702-foot-tall, 790-unit residential tower has reached the second floor. Construction should also begin soon for the office towers.

64-Story, 790-Unit Building Rises Above Street Level At 401 West 31st Street, Manhattan West

Quote:
The tower is only a portion of Brookfield’s entire Manhattan West redevelopment. Excavation is underway on the first office building, dubbed 1 Manhattan West, which will stand 69 stories and span nearly 1,650,000 square feet at 401 Ninth Avenue. The renovation and re-clad of the 16-story, 1.8 million square-foot building at 450 West 33rd Street is also making rapid progress.
