Mirabel | 48m, 53m | 18fl, 19fl | Completed

Should be interesting. Marcon doing lots of their own in-house stuff rather than building for small-midsize developers from out of town.

From Mirabel at English Bay:

Located at the intersection of Davie & Broughton, Mirabel will be comprised of two neighbouring 18 and 19-story buildings, and will feature a collection of 2 and 3-bedroom homes.

The design of these residences centers around seamless indoor / outdoor living, providing homeowners with access to the most natural urban neighbourhood on earth and uncompromised views. A stunning example of West Coast modernism, the architectural style of Mirabel will be light and fresh, complimenting the surrounding environment.

By foot or bike, residents of Mirabel will be minutes from the beaches of English Bay, the wooded trails of Stanley Park, as well as the countless urban comforts and luxuries of downtown Vancouver.

Looking forward to this project! The massing and scale is very much in keeping with the surrounding area and the existing buildings on the site are an eyesore especially Berkeley Place.

I do feel bad, however, for all the buyers in The Jervis who were promised spectacular English Bay views, spent a lot of time in their Sales Centre and the entire theme was the views.

Buying for views is a gamble, especially in Downtown. Unless you are at the edge of a development zone or at the top of the highest structure in the area than views will not likely last for too long. Where I bought I will have forever views because the building that I bought in was at the edge of a development zone.

Come on, no retail? This is so close to Davie Village they should increase the retail space for more residents moving in!

Not a huge fan of the design, but it is nice to see the trash currently there taken down.

We all know that as Realtors but I'm more critical of the marketing team's 'view-centric' marketing of the suites. Most of the buyers I brought through the sales-centre saw right through the hype.

Wish this was built right up to jarvis since it was built with a blank wall facing mirabel and would then create a more uniform streewall. Also, looks weird how half the sidewalk width just abruptly ends at the Jarvis

Sad to see that nice variety of flora to disappear (windmill palms, cherry trees, and a really nice Sequoia).

Would be nice to have these species replanted afterwards...

It probably took 50 years for that sequoia to get to that size. The life cycle of a new building is barely more than that, making it rare for new buildings to co-exist with nice trees. That's why I strongly believe in legally protecting trees over a certain diameter within a certain distance from the street.
