The only thing that sucks about this tower is the height. The site allows up to 500' and a design like this could probably warrant a height increase up to 550', so it's disappointing to see on 436' being proposed.

Yeah, it would be nice to see a rendering with it from a distance in context of the other existing and proposed buildings.
The "Jenga" 1500 West Georgia thread says that one is 152m (494ft).

Some of the renderings designed by Kengo Kuma for Ian Gillespie.

I wonder how they would wash the windows on the inside of the curve?

As is frequently said in the development industry, "that's a building operational problem, not our problem".

I would imagine that in this kind of case they will not have any window washing crane, but window washers hanging from ropes.

Looks like it's going to chomp down on 1500 West Georgia in the second pic.

The concave part will be balconies.

I will be there tonight, maybe some of the forumers that never show up at these events can make the effort to attend, then they can't say they don't know me...

Just getting ready for leave, can stick around a few more minutes if you're close.
Good turn out, somewhere around 100-150 people and mostly supportive with the few neighbours voicing some valid concerns.
Always happy when I see a proposal with large number of 2 and 3bd units instead of the more common bach and 1bd offerings.

Any new renderings? I have been trying to find proper high-resolution ones for ages without luck.

The description suggests that the units on the insides of the curves will have sky gardens, or something like that. Therefore, the windows of those units will likely be "accessible" and therefore the responsibility of the individual strata lot.

Made it there just briefly last night before they closed up shop. I have to say, I found it difficult to fully appreciate the architecture of the building from the renderings alone. Being able to see the model in three dimensions gave me a new appreciation for the design. It will really be quite something. The way the tower meets the street level is extremely unique. It will be interesting to see how the metal panels are executed on the building, but otherwise it looks to be a good design. Also, I am not sure if it has been mentioned previously, but the reason the proposal doesn't max out the height allowed in the neighbourhood plan is a view cone, of course.

I support the concept of viewcones, but 3.2.1 really needs to be adjusted. There's really no reason why we need a view of the suburban sprawl in the British Properties.

Don't think these open house boards have been posted before. There are some additional renderings, facade details and floor plans we haven't seen yet. Compared to Vancouver House, the floor plans look a lot more usable and less awkward (at least for the 1 beds). I suppose Westbank is refining its craft. Personally I'm more excited about this project than Vancouver House which I'm already very excited about to begin with.
