^^^ That's really going to stand out when it's done. 1000 S Clark and this tower are plugging a gap in the skyline I really hadn't noticed before.

In other news: There are two large construction trailers delivered on the median of Lower Wacker across from the GEMS and Wanda sites. Anyone know what these are for? Could it be the first signs of life for GEMS?

That's really cool.

There are other places in Chicago where something like that could really work.

Between Sheffield and Clybourn south of Clybourn, between Archer and Cermak north of Cermak, between Diversey and Lincoln south of Diversey, between Clark and Halsted just north of Belmont, between Sheffield and Clark south of Addison, between Broadway and Ridge, between Kedzie and Milwaukee south of Diversey, between Clinton and Jefferson and Jackson and VanBuren. Any or all of those areas could do something similar and I think it'd be awesome for the city.

I like the design but not entirely sure why the color scheme was chosen, I could understand if it was a building that was distinquishing itself from neighboring buildings, but the height of it currently is far too small to stand out to begin with.

NW corner of Franklin and Lake... I believe this refers to the Nuveen building where I work. Do you mean SE or SW building?

^^^ We meant the NW corner of the block being redeveloped.
So yes, the SE corner of the Franklin/Lake intersection, from your point of view.

I've heard that an amendment for the PD regarding the Raphael Vinoly project at Roosevelt and Indiana has been submitted to the city and could now possibly be public info.

I've heard that there will still be two towers along Roosevelt.

I have no other info that that, but I will try to keep on digging.

There is a building on the SE corner of Franklin/Lake - a very disposable parking garage on the SW corner of Franklin and Lake, a really cool building on the NW corner, and the not so disposable parking garage on the NE corner - believe the top of it is used by the building to the N.

That's interesting. That corner space on Roosevelt has so much potential, putting a big name architect on it is a confidence-booster. We're running out of prominent spots for a signature skyscraper. Parkfront is almost all filled in, riverfront only has a few gaps left.

Yeah, went to plan commission and I asked around...

Cedar Hotel passed. There were people bitching and moaning about the height, density, and traffic.

130 N. Franklin passed.

Ed Debevick's Tower passed.
