Beacon Hill is a redevelopment area southeast of downtown. It's located
here on Google maps. It's basically an area that had gone downhill for so long it became essentially abandoned and thus became relatively easy to redevelop. Most of it is new stuff but there's still some older houses left over and in various stages of being fixed up.
I went there over the weekend to take some pics. I might occasionally go back there for updates.
From the project's website, here is the plan. Basically the NW corner is done, they're starting things to the south, and across the highway to the north I think might be the last part.
