I believe it still has 14 floors and a crown to go. So this will be very
Edit: this appears to be another 200' taller when done. It's almost as high as the structural pArt of 360 now. Maybe someone like Kevin can give us an exact height now?

According to their Facebook page, as of December 8th, they were working on the 43rd floor. The 43rd floor is at 463 feet 6 inches. So, about another 227 feet, which is about the height of the Gables Park Tower. The highest part of the mechanical penthouse on 360 is 480 feet, but the part below the glass spire on the south side of the building is around 500 feet.

Given that the Mexican American Cultural Center isn't going anywhere, it's going to have unobstructed views of Downtown and the river forever.

You know, on that same point, the lot immediately to the south of the Homewood Suites will also have a great western view between 70 Rainey and the residential tower just next to the MACC parking lot (and I'm blanking on the name of that one right now...). It's just a slither of a view, but parts of that lot will have an uninhibited view as well, basically indefinitely, unless a few of the restaurants on Rainey St. go away...which I don't see happening.

Setting forms for the 45th floor.

The 44th floor is at 474 feet 3 inches.

How far is the height from 360's spire? It's close I suspect.

360's spire tops out at 581 feet. Some of the forms are up for the 45th floor. The 45th floor on the Independent tops out at 485 feet. So once the 45th floor is done the top of the building will be within 100 feet of the top of the spire on 360. Also, at 485 feet, it'll be only 4 feet below the mechanical penthouse on 360.

360's heights are:

581 feet to the spire

542 feet - to the bottom of the spire (top of the glass portion of the spire)

502 feet to the 44th floor high roof parapet - this is the white part of the roof on the south side of the building below the glass portion of the spire.

489 feet to the mechanical penthouse (middle of the building north of the spire)

482 feet to the 44th floor low roof parapet

480 feet to the 44th floor roof slab - this is what the glass portion of the spire stands on.

471 feet to the main roof parapet

467 feet to the main roof slab

The regular view needs to pan up, though it does show a good 5th and West view.

There's probably nowhere to put the close-up camera for the same angle that's sufficiently high for a good view. It appears that the camera sits on someone's Seaholm balcony, and that building is not tall enough.

According to their Facebook page, they're planning a new higher location for the close up camera view. My guess would be 360.

A beer says it's something north or south in order to show off those sexy twists and turns.

Really enjoying watching this one rise. The perspective from South Lamar is epic! Now when is Downtown going to have another Council Member that celebrates vertical homes at least as much as inefficient homes?!
