Western Europe and southern Northern Europe ( Denmark and Scania ) are good to visit from mid April to mid september - personally I will recommend the spring/early summer period ( mid March to early July for Copenhagen )
For northern Northern Europe: June, July and early August..

If planning on visiting Copenhagen then both will be good, august have the highest risk of rain, but it also have the highest temps and a chance of heatwaves..
It never gets especially warm up here, but it's very mild thanks to the ocean and gulf stream so it never gets especially cold either.. unless you come here from a desert or tropical area the temps should be acceptable ( 20-25C doing the day, 12-18C doing the night ) - our water is shallow so get's quite war, so if you like beach and ocean swimming the august is the best with water temps around 18-20C

No I will not recommend a first visit to the region doing the fall or winter.. at this time of year the city/region is very boring compared to spring and summer..
October and November isn't bad here ( usually around 15C doing the day and 5-10C doing the night ) but they are usually very cloudy and there can be days between the sun showing itself.. and much of the streetlife have gone inside at this time of year leaving the streets very empty and dull compared to the spring and summer months..
Unless comming from a region with equal or worse weather I would not recommend it and even if it would be kinda of a shame when on vacation..
