I don't think it looks that much different from the other new towers in the area. Mostly it has a different colour palette. At least it's not seafoam green...

Probably use the same kind of metallic material for the Vancouver House. Instead of Copper, I'm sure the cladding can be made to look more yellowish.

I admire the forward-looking urbanity of all these beefy 4-storey commercial podiums in the new towers going up along Beresford Street (a formerly quiet residential street).

So what is that huge thing? A cloth with some art? Which way is it facing? The first photo doesn't look like anything in real life. Mountains on the south side and no Skytrain guideway...

That's almost certainly a view of the north facade fronting onto Beresford Street but with the Skytrain guideway removed from the foreground.

That's what I am thinking as well, but I guess they want to paint a more rosy picture of the area with rainbows and unicorns. Typical marketing...

I think this project would warrant its own thread by now.

But I still love the addition to the skyline and the added density when towers are built. I can't decide whether I want these towers to go up, all I hope is that they start building more market rental units as well as condos for purchase.
Looks like the Midori's Sales center is now open as of the 12th.

A new development by Porte along Dawson Street in the Brentwood area.

https://porte.ca/brentwood/

Floor plans look pretty good, except that the railway tunnel goes under this building...

I like this building. The curve is unique, the green color is refreshing. A kind of subtle elegance with class.

Too bad it's so suburban at ground level.

I'm not sure what you expect. It's next to a small park, a few blocks from Kingsway and not that much farther from Metrotown. A retail podium wasn't going to happen at this location.

Why not? There's supposed to be a lot of people in those townhomes and tower. The park will draw out of block traffic. The area is generally densely inhabited. Surely there is latent demand for a Kins and a Cobbs

Quite exciting, it looks like there will be some cafes and restaurants on the ground floor. When's the expected completion date for this project?

That green space to the right of the building is where the tunnel is located. It won't actually go underneath the building
