I really like the decision to put the silver or white glass panels at the setbacks. The horizontal distance of the setbacks is so small that without it, they would be too subtle to pick up from a distance or from many angles. But this calls them out and makes the overall composition move upward. Nice touch.

In certain angles and lighting the white stripes and setbacks kind of evoke a famous painting of the Tower of Babel.

just to clarify, the white stripes will actually be silver. They are just covered in a white sheet to protect it until the building is finished.

195 Meters - it looks taller because the ''skyline'' area (Achrafieh district) of Beirut is on a hill, which makes the cluster of towers look 250-300 meters from Beirut's coastline (check below).

Hm. Is there still any more room for more? It's looking full. Whatever, I would demolish anything regarded the less interesting for more and more, and always more.

New Photos Highlight Sama Beirut's Sleek Profile

Quote:
Lebanon has a new national icon, as work on the 50-storey Sama Beirut nears its end. Located in the heart of the city, the 195-metre building is the tallest in the country, and hosts several separate uses that give the impression of exclusivity. About 80 percent of the over 5,000 square metres of land will be dedicated to landscaping with fountains, lighting and seating spots
