I know same here, it sucks, I havent started and the rest of the days are schooldays, idk if I will have time to actually finish it! And I find it kinda pointless to do it because we all know Aleks will whip out a masterpiece like his University.

PLEASE do that!

And Aleks, I picked out several city blocks, do all the buildings have to correspond as one project, or can we just fill them in with various skyscrapers from different eras, basically fill in the skyline?

Yeah. Holy crap.

I just realized that I am probably getting pwned in this contest.

I have finals over the next two weeks. After that though maybe I could plug in multiple entries for the next competition. I can't really accomplish great quality right now, but I can at least throw in a lot of quantity!

Ha, But then the votes could end up split. Like why hillary dropped out the race.

I think the buildings shouldent have to corrospond, then every comp would be very simialar to each other.

Im actually putting my money on patrick for this one.

Ok I have an Idea. Someone PM's there desighn to a non-participant. Then everyone PM's there ideas to the first person. if he changes his desighn the Non participant will know. this way the non participant can be sure no stealing has been done. This can also be done with two or more participants, as long as the submissions arrive simultaneously.

Yet I cant think of a desighn.

See heres where I get confused, I mean then I wouldn't be designing a complex but several random buildings of different styles and wouldn't that be unfair? I mean what would we be voting on, the arrangement of the buildings, styles I used, quality, yes I know, I'm putting too much thought into this

Yes! Gees people! Okay, more rules I guess...

Umm.. what about this. It can be a single skyscraper, or two or three. All have to be the same era EXCEPT if your complex involves remodeling an old structure [doesn't have to be real, you can make it up]. Like convert an old tower into condo's, add a small side building, make a glass atrium on an old courtyard, etc..... But if you wish to include more than one era you must explain why. All have to be same project though.

It's not hard - Just build something that wouldn't suck in NYC

I assume Aleks just wants it to keep it real.

Umm, did you read the sketchup FAQ?
The fact you can put models in GE is basiccly why sketchup exists...
