There are impressive projects in Omaha. The city has changed so much in the past decade and it has become a very nice city. I hope that positive changes are made to the 16th St mall area. Any update on what's happening there?

New apartment project set to start pretty soon. 3 floors will be added to a current 2 floor vacant building. 40 apartments and 4000 square foot of retail space.

Long term plans for redoing the sidewalk/parking situation, but nothing solid right now.

A good bit of development going on this spring in Omaha. As well as a big announcement for the city. We are joining the club with KC and Austin and getting gigabit internet service.

UNMC broke ground on a $370 million cancer research center. Very large building expected to have a big impact on the neighborhood.

79 unit apartment building broke ground downtown, here is the current site.

And the rendering.

A car wash downtown is being replaced. We are going from this.

To this

A new Hyatt Place in the Old Market is topped out. Supposed to be open in late fall.

The Highline Apartments is a newly completed office to residential conversion. 194 units in all. This building was actually Enron's HQ for a short time before they left for Houston.

And just a block down the street from that tower this once vacant building is being redone into 12 apartment units and commercial space.

The frame for the new $44 million HQ for Gavilon has it's shape in the CBD. A shame it couldn't have more height, but infill none the less.

In midtown this corner is getting a huge facelift. In this photo the two story will have 7 apartment units and a restaurant on the ground floor. In one of the one story store fronts there will be a nanobrewery.

And this one on the other side of the street will have a bar.

And finally a glamor shot of Omaha. We had a cool sunset the other day.

154 unit apartment building announced in Midtown Omaha. "Spaces Apartments"

And the century old Burlington Station is finally going to get a use after sitting vacant for 40 years. It will be turned into the new studio for the local news affiliate for ABC.
