NY, NY -- so nice I went there twice

I think I'm starting to 'get' NYC. It was my third time actually -- the first was a long time ago, and for some reason I hadn't enjoyed it that much.
The second attempt went much better already, and that's why I decided to come back for a couple of days a mere 2 months later.

I stayed in SoHo/Greenwich Village almost exclusively, and, well, we went all the way this time. I'm now living with Montreal and cheating with NYC.

So here's part deux -- 20 more pics
(those that didn't make it here are on flickr)

16. finding this inside the MoMA was a great surprise -- a reproduction of the cool motif found in the McCormick Tribune Campus Center at the Illinois Institute of Technology, which I graduated from 3 years ago. It is Mies' face, if you're wondering (intended as a triute for designing a large part of the IIT campus)

Great photos. I really liked the one with the ESB in the background.

I do love that neighborhood. My first trip to NYC was almost exclusively in the Village-SoHo area, staying with a friend who was an NYU student. Having a private tour guide is definitely the way to go.

The 2nd trip is where I 'got' NY. Walking from 14th to 83rd (and side to side) helps with that.
