There's one on Upper James, across from KFC and Licks.

I just drove by and saw that the glass on the base is being installed. It looks really good.

Anybody know off the top of their head when the first guests will be checking in? I can't be bothered to filter through all these pages. Mid to late summer I'd guess.

Gotta be Bay St. The pic with the patio label shows a northerly view with the Standard Life bldg in the background.

Might that be the patio for the Beaver and Bulldog?

I'm a little surprised that there's room there for a patio.

Yes, you are correct. There's two or three more restaurants but Beaver and Bulldog will likely be the first to open.

The latest rendering doesn't show the patio space but an old rendering does...

That's actually a pretty decent location for the patio. This building is looking a lot better than I first thought as it nears completion.

Does anyone know what's up with the bare wall on main street of the hotel?

Do you mean the section on the bottom right of the hotel in this photo where the first 3-floors of openings have since been filled in with brick?

If so, it is for density. Once the owner of the parking lot next to the Homewood Suites decides to build something, both buildings will meet at the blank wall.

lots of progress

I drive by the hotel daily on my way to work, today I noticed the top of the front of back have a bit that looks like where the hotel sign will be placed. The top is looking really good. Near finished maybe. Can't wait to see the podium level complete.

The new roof/headdress design has added some height to the building in the last 10 days:
