This lawn is so perfectly manicured. Is it a city park?

^ It's a public park called Harbour Green. It was completed only a few years ago and I believe it was paid for by the developers of the nearby condo towers. IMO it is one of the nicest parks in the city. You can sit on a bench under trees next to the ocean and watch the people/float planes/cruise ships go by.

I posted these in the photo thread (mostly) but I might as well post them here:

Construction in the North End. The construction site in front is for Armoury Square, which is both condos and rowhouses. In behind is Gladstone Ridge, which consists of two twelve storey towers, a shorter building (~7?) and houses. The brick building is the Lexington, which was completed in 2003 or so. In the foreground (not quite shown) is the site for another proposal, and there has been a proposal for the corner of Cunard and Agricola, a bit to the right of the white crane in the foreground:

This isn't new construction, but they're restoring the tower on top of the Dominion Public Building, Halifax's first "skyscraper":

Scaffolding on 5620 South Street, a nine storey apartment building (cut down from 19). To the right are the Martello condominiums (the elliptical tower) and in the foreground is another small building that was built a few years ago:

Salter's Gate. This building is nearly finished and contains a hotel, apartments, a restaurant, and retail:

The waterfront lot across the street from Salter's Gate is where the Centennial development was just approved:

W Suites on Barrington (would have looked much better in brick):

This thread really shows how quickly some Canadian cities are growing. Victoria's construction is mind-boggling for its size. I won't recognize the place when I go back for a visit. The most pleasant surprise though is seeing Uptown in Toronto UC. That makes me a happy man!

In the middle of the roundabout at St. Joseph and St. Laurent blvd, in Hull.

edit - actually, to kill two birds with one stone, it's about a block away from this construction site, just to the left of that crane.

Terrific summary Canuck.

You should post this in City Compilations. That thread could use some decent content.

The list is lifted directly from my '400' foot list that I maintain at UrbanToronto:

I have posted earlier versions of it in the City Compilations thread, but the problem is since it's not the original post on page one, it easily and quickly gets lost among the pages. People can feel free to use the lists I compiled (especially since I get all my info from these boards), but I just don't find it worthwhile to maintain a list here, as I do on UrbanToronto.

Very, very impressive construction in Toronto.
