Either way I woundnt pin your hopes getting anything taller than the already proposed 95m tower.

I am curious as to how much of the first office tower has been sold and who is going into it. they keep saying they will be coming out with that information soon but havent heard anything yet.
Anything in excess of 95m would require approval by council. This is a long public process and if the developer was intending to proceed with a change to the bylaw it would have been advertised by now.

Regarding the remai overhang... the gallery does not have a driveway of its own. The drone shot shows that the overhang provides a sheltered spot to drop-off/pick-up people.

That might have been a factor in its design.

Also, you'll notice that the overhang (from above) is shaped like the province of Saskatchewan.

Intentional?

Sat. Jan. 20 2018 Pics:

^^^^ Another busy Saturday. They are making good progress excavating the office tower parkade.

^^^^ Condo 16th floor columns poured. They were pouring the hotel 14th floor columns Sat. morning. Getting ready to install condo construction elevator. The renderings I saw show the office tower to be the approximate height of the condo 16th floor.

^^^^ This is the approx. size of the building as it would have been before the 4 floors were added.

^^^^ From southern part of River Landing. For those not familiar with Saskatoon, Urban Capital's proposed next project is approximately between the two highrises on the right of the image. Just to the left (and below) the Remai Modern is the pump house, where hopefully a riverside restaurant will locate. Behind that is vacant land where hopefully another tower (or two) will be built.

^^^^ From the boathouse.

We are very lucky that a developer such as Urban Capital is building in Saskatoon.
Has anyone heard anything about the lot top of the University Bridge?
I'm curious if condos will go there?

i tried to ask over FB and they said more details will be out this year, and they will update their page. Also im sure a story will be released in the news, and there will be backlash over that tower too if its too tall

Sat Jan 27 2018:

^^^^ Queue of cement trucks for big pour today. It was -20C when I want past.

Its getting hard to find a good vantage point to get pics with a cheap cellphone. Also its impossible to see the screen in the bright sunshine to see what I'm actually photographing!

I believe they were pouring the hotel roof today. So, its topped out except for mechanical stuff.

^^^^ Office parkade excavation continuing. Its going to be huge.

^^^^ Condo 17th floor columns up. Hotel topped out! (I think).

On Circle Drive, from 8th St or 14th St, you can see the hotel/condo popping out over the treetops.

And there's gotta be glass a-coming to the hotel soon, what? Are those crates of it on the second floor roof/terrace? Anyway, much appreciate the pics!

They must have an anchor tenant whose currently tied up in another lease. I’m sure they’ll have a big announcement closer to completion where they’ll unveil it. Makes sense to keep the number low now Incase any other large companies are tempted by the riverfront. Might be able to hook a key tenant for the other tower that way.

I’ve heard MLT (2 Floors at Saskatoon Square?), RBC (1 Floor a Time saskatoonSquare?), and EY (2 Floors at Saskatoon Square?). Seems like more than 20%?

What is Downtown Saskatoon's height limit? How high can buildings go throughout the downtown?

It's permitted as high as 95 m on the site where this project is. Throughout much of the rest of the downtown the limit is 76 m, but there is a height bonusing mechanism to allow buildings higher than that (with no real upper limit), provided certain amenities are provided and pending airport approvals.

Does anyone here wish the City could turn 19th and 3rd into a roundabout? Make that whole area cohesive and make a nice entrance to downtown.

19th St from 2nd Ave to the Broadway Bridge needs to be redone to better tie in River Landing to Downtown.
