I've been surprised at the lack of updates on the board about this one. It's really starting to look good.

Its like kids, puppies and kittens...once they stop growing, they're not cute anymore and we stop paying attention. But also, there are quite a few new kids on the block that has everyone gawking.
Is that 5th St that runs west to east between the Monarch and 5th and West?? If so, too bad it isn't two way. That canyon affect would look awesome driving west on it.

It'll be the unseen tower pretty soon too, once the surrounding sites get developed.

I haven't grabbed many shots of this one because besides the podium, there's not much visible progress. Slow work on the backsides of this building.

This building has one good side. North and west facades are crap, which I guess puts it in the same league as the graceless and banal Bowie tower a few blocks away.

I kind of agree, but what those sides lack in style, they make up for with height and mass. Plus we know the cool side is just around the corner. Same goes for Bowie, except I'm not sure it even has a good side. And I thought Bowie showed so much potential when it was first announced. They screwed up on the roof mostly where the mechanicals are housed.

I'm guessing there's still some facade work to be done, but this one has a sort of utilitarian look to its facade, at least for now. The whole building on these sides reminds me of a giant elevator core on a tower that's still under construction.

It reminds me of the Windsor with a bit less texture and more height. At least they aren't going to leave any of the walls unfinished like the north wall of the Seaholm Condos. Btw, I like all three of these towers. Probably the Winsor the most out of the three.

The stone facade on this one at ground level is really nice. I hadn't noticed that in the rendering.

That looks pretty tall from street level. It doesn't look like they cut any corners. This is a quality looking building.

I really wish we were building more of these residential towers. This is a good model for height and quality.
