The word "footage" makes me thing construction photos or construction camera, not new renderings. But I guess we will find out next week exactly what they mean. I do like this aerial photo:

It probably means a webcam, but honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it's not ;/

EDIT: The aerial photo and the close up of the jackhammering in that tweet do look a lot like they would be screen grabs from a progress film, a lot like what Barton Malow did with the Shinola Hotel (https://vimeo.com/223807180).

I see you read my post over at skyscrapercity, but didn't read the edit.

Yeah, I was hoping for new renderings, but it's really good to see official anything being put out by the builders at this point. It's been like pulling teeth to get official updates on this one even as progress is very obviously taking place at the site.

Dirt! Do you see any steam being generated here...it seems like slow going. I'm really looking forward to seeing some progress.

The dirt's supposedly for a ramp to enable equipment to get down in the hole, it should go faster once that happens.

Excited to see Detroit getting back into the high-rise game now that they have been reinvigorating the downtown.

I think I read somewhere (maybe on DetroitYes) that it was 4 levels of parking. Confirmed by Google / this Detroit Free Press article.

Michigan Strategic Fund greenlights $618 million in brownfield incentives for Gilbert
May 21, 2018 at 3:31 PM by KIRK PINHO

The Michigan Strategic Fund on Tuesday approved about $618 million in brownfield incentives for $2.14 billion in Dan Gilbert projects in downtown Detroit. It's the first time the state has approved such incentives, which were put into place following passage of a law enacted last year that allows the capture of certain taxes to help bolster development in Michigan communities.

New renderings with the news of the final piece of funding falling into place. Still don't know what's going on at the top, and neither do they seem to, but maybe with funding in place we'll get to see the top from an aerial view, eventually.

From Woodward:

Looking west toward Woodward in the alley:

From Gratiot (also showing the One Campus Martius expansion u/c):

Atrium in the office building:

The discussion over at DetroitYes is that this is moving faster now that they were able to get a second excavator down in the garage.

I was wondering how long it would take them to get more than one excavator going. And yeah, that 'crown' needs to go back in the oven a bit longer - it still looks half-baked.
