Felix is the Cary Grant of cats! I wish he would be friends with my cat who is now afraid of him.

Okay this is weird. Although Felix looks slightly less like my old cat Smudge from this angle, he's got a similar white patch on his nose, which is where Smudge got his name. He was a native of Paterson, NJ.

Some people take their pet cats very seriously!

What a sweetie kitty though, eh?

I love cats but I think that would be a bit too much for me.

nice cougar, but I think it is illegal to own a wild animal in most jurisdictions. There was a leopard who lived in our apartment building in downtown Montreal. It used to pace back and forth on the balcony.

I'm leaving in 2 weeks to go back home to Calgary. Do I take Felix with me and hope he adapts to apartment life or leave him behind to fend for himself in the neighbourhood?
His human, who has been over several times to retrieve him, has abandoned him with regret since he hasn't stayed home for 3 years!
I leave the door open for him to come and go when he wants and he usually wants to stay in.

If he can take being inside, I'd take him. I've had experience with both. We keep our cats indoors. One street cat didn't have problem inside, so we adopted her. The other hated it and would constantly cry and pace back and forth in front of the door. We ended up leaving that one to fend for herself outside.

I agree. He is a lovely cat and I'd take him. Our 2 cats are indoor cats only but they alwasy have been.

Could you keep him inside and see how he reacts?

I found my cat in a parking lot near downtown Houston last October eating some nasty moldy ant covered bread. He was nothing but skin and bones. Hes pretty much the friendliest cat ever but has the most rank breath, oh well. He walked right up to me and started puring and I felt so bad that I had to keep him.

Awwww... what a cutie! Reminds me of my first cat, Happy!

Thanks for the advice guys! I took Taz and then Felix to the vet yesterday and the vet said I can't leave Felix behind. He transferred Felix's file over to his new human since he was already a patient of the clinic!
Taz has a heart murmur and Felix is perfectly healthy and is fine in the car so next Tuesday we do the 1,000 kilometre drive in 11 hours or less!

Cats do the funniest things! I started loading my washing machine with clothes when my cat jumped up onto the machine and without hesitation went into the partially-filled bin and made herself at home.
