Wasn't this already proposed a long time ago? Did they alter the project at all?

Yes, this project was originally proposed 3 years ago (Dec 2010) as a 6-story building composed of two linked blocks (see original siteplan).

The revised siteplan shows a 5-story building with a smaller 3-story extension towards the east.

The site was finally cleared about a 2-4 weeks ago of all the old houses. The intersection at Greenbank and Craig Henry looks strange with just a blanket of white snow there. But... I bet the snow will look better than this fine piece of a building...

Drove by last week and noticed it gone as well. It does look a bit strange there now.

The only part I really dislike about this building is the green sheet-metal roof/awning around the top of the building. The building itself is certainly nothing spectacular, but given the surrounding area, nothing there is remotely outstanding, so it fits in that regard. Maybe if they changed the green to black, it might class it up a bit; or they could remove it altogether and have brick up the rest of the wall to the roof.

It looks a lot like Stonework Lofts - the Phoenix project on Winona and Scott. A lot like it.

On further analysis...

.... I'm having issues seeing any differences between the two.

The only thing I really like is the visitor parking and the side entrance. Well laid out.

This one seems to be under construction (site cleared, hole in the ground, etc.)
