What great photos of what appears to be a really cool neighborhood.

I was last in Portland abou 5 years ago and I walked all over that area and then down to where Powells is located. I had no idea of where I was, I just wandered around. Had a blast and as a stadium geek, I loved peeking into that Park!

ForEightOh, you missed the new building under construction over at 18th and Jefferson! You need to post a pic of that one snap!
Otherwise, kudos! Great pics... almost got my friend's apartment in it. During the summer you can see the mountains from the streets, too.

Classic!

For those of you who aren't in Portland, we've got these things all over the fuckin' place.

my old neighborhood!

I lived here from '01 to '03

and here from '05 to '07

I love how varied the housing is in Goose Hollow and Kings Hill. Not many neighborhoods have that.

Thanks for the post.

This one?

Not a great shot, I know, but it's the only one I had.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

This is a really nice addition to the other tours from our newest SSP resident ForAteOh (I think his name should be change to FiveOhTree). Thanks for taking the time to represent Portland from a newbies eyes. You've posted some terrific threads!

I really enjoy your Portland series.
Portland looks like a city I would like to live I think.

Also love the see all the bicycles and lack of large pick-up trucks, very different to the US cities I visited.

I had the opportunity to walk that area when I visited Portland in 2005 and it was by far one of my favorite parts of the city. Kinda reminded me a bit of a cross between the Mt. Adams and Mt. Auburn neighborhoods in my hometown of Cincinnati with the houses straddling the hillside there.

And that bridge above the MAX line you posted is one helluva place for skyline pics if the sun's in the right place and the weather's cooperating.

Portland's streets look very clean. I like the green mosses that cling to just about everything there. Very cool.
