Oh yeah for sure and it's definitely happening. LOTS of younger people in the area now, many of which recently moved from the city and traffic is a total nightmare, I can't believe the gridlock all over the area and even in the once quieter areas of Norristown and whatnot...rush hours have become unbelievably bad.

And that's why we need the NHSL to extend to King of Prussia. Not only will it make commutes easier, it will alleviate some of this traffic.

This is dumb. Like it or not the building could be a historic attraction for the city

It was only a matter of time there. It's not as nice as some other Atlantic City properties, and was really worn the last time I was there. I predicted back in 2014 what would happen to each of the closed casinos, and I've been totally right so far.

Now, when is Revel reopening?

Riverfront - Wilmington

Looks like some work is happening right across the river from the riverfront market next to Christina Landing. Anyone have any insight into what the project is?

I think I do. A swim team called Wilmington Aquatic Club is looking to build a 50 meter, olympic size indoor pool along A Street next to Christina Landing. What you probably are seeing is the soil being tested. This will be great for Wilmington since swim meets here would attract out of towners to stay at nearby hotels, eat at restaurants, and use the riverfront and downtown attractions!

Wow! Definitely not what I was expecting but can definitely see the benefits. Seems like prime real-estate on that side of the river since it's directly adjacent to one of the few crossings.

More approvals in works for Lansdale Third and Walnut apartment building

Quote:
A project meant to change the look of a block in Lansdale could take another large step ahead soon.

Plans for an apartment building on the corner of Third and Walnut streets are coming before borough council for conditional use approval, which could pave the way for a council vote next month.

"This project has gotten unanimous approval from the planning commission, and this is another step in their process," said councilman Leon Angelichio.

Starting in late 2015, developer Ross Ziegler and a team of consultants have made the case to the borough for "Walnut Crossing," a six story apartment building that would contain roughly 160 apartment units, with a driveway entrance onto Third Street and two floors of private parking below. Ziegler and engineer Jason Smeland detailed the latest version of those plans to the borough Code committee last week, outlining changes that have been made over more than a year of talks with the borough's Planning Commission, and why the conditional use approval for the apartment building is the next step in the process.

Some nice TOD. Hope this gets built along with the Equus project to breathe some life into this sleepy town. Lansdale has some nice density, but lacks a strong center.

If you turn the street view and look at the church building, you can see a sale sign on it. Which is too bad, it'd be much better if it were replacing the warehouse. I could be wrong but that's how I'm interpreting the rendering/street layout.

Edit: confirmed

Fritz Lumberyard Development in Berwyn - 44 apartments, 19,000 sqft of retail, and a parking garage right next to the Berwyn Septa Station. This looks awesome.

^nice to see this area getting some love...especially this close to the train station. any addition info beyond the rendering/site plan? and that seems like a pretty big retail component, though i definitely get the idea behind it for this location.

Good grief the developers don't know the difference between Lancaster Ave and Old Lancaster Rd.
