Five years ago, it was an oversized ditch infested with invasive grass alongside a toxic industrial site.
Now, it's a place to see turtles sunbathe and hawks hunt. A new pathway has turned a nearly milelong stretch of the San Antonio River south of downtown into an urban escape.
