Monde is extremely pretty to look at, but yeah, I dunno if I would want to live there (for lots of reasons).

Monde has a 90s-futurist feel to it that I cant quite put my finger on but I love it.

Progress really moving along at the University of Calgary's Mackimmie Tower and the concurrent revitalization of one of the school's two main quads, known as Swan Mall.

From a couple days ago

And a new one just started construction this week. Alberta's first major project by Ottawa's Minto, in one of our best neighbourhoods (Kensington)...

Annex - 9 storeys - 30 meters

and the revitalization of the historic Barron Building continues...

Star of the Sea is coming along. It's the first new building in a long time that I genuinely love. I'm so pleased with how it's looking.

I don't have the address. The first one is a 40 storey rental tower with ground floor retail designed for a grocery. This higher density node may be salvaged. The early Tridel towers facing Dundas are an urbanist nightmare.

Thats crazy! Hope they use some natural landscaping in the final products (Such as Arbutus trees).

Looks like Kelowna's new tallest office tower is full steam ahead, excavation has already commenced. Kelowna's current tallest office tower is the 82 metre tall tower also shown here at 18 floors. The new tower will be 23 or 24 floors. No official height I have seen yet.

New Hyatt Place Hotel currently under construction on Main Street in Moncton, across Canada Street from the new Avenir Centre (8,800 seat arena).

FiveFive Queen in Moncton, immediately behind city hall, nearing completion. It is a combo hotel/condominium building with a restaurant (Gahan House) and a high end wine boutique on the ground floor.

^ What a facade... it definitely conveys poshness. It looks like something out of the Ginza.

Here's are some recent and upcoming projects around the Barrington and Sackville area in downtown Halifax. The recent Skye proposal (4) fills in a conspicuous gap:

The 3D imagery is from late 2017 so the buildings under construction are more or less complete now.

I don't have any pictures yet but they have a tester curtain wall section up at Bay and Adelaide Tower North's construction site. It's a shame this one didn't sit empty for another building cycle.

How come they have a tester bit of curtain wall, are they reusing an old foundation? I thought they would've been excavating.

Anyways, here's Benett on Bayview, a condo building squeezed between a postwar plaza and apartment blocks, and a hydro corridor to the south taken yesterday

Over the past few days we have been demolishing the rear facade of the small three storey building you see here. We cut the left side with a concrete chain saw. You can also see the major crack repair that will begin shortly on the 5 storey section.
