This is great news 74 stories (800ft) at Indiana and Roosevelt sets the stage for 1000 at Michigan and Roosevelt. What a Wall for the south end. Did you happen to see if it was another papageorge design?

I agree. 800' is a little close to 734. I require 200 feet of seperation for my arbitrary approval.

OMP is 65 floors at 734 feet, which is an average of almost 11.3 feet per floor. 11.3 times 9 is just over 100 extra feet. I'd bet on this one being 830 feet (the lobby drives the average up a bit I'm sure), without any screen or crown.

Does anyone think OMP 3 will have a hard time finding buyers?

The location next to Grant Park, just off Michigan, with permanent views? I doubt they'll have trouble finding buyers, unless they are overpriced, or a ton of similar product (like Park 1000, 830 S. Michigan) is marketing at the same time.

perhaps this discussion should move to the main thread?

I will have to stop by the sales center today or tomorrow.

For those who saw it, are they hiding it or if i ask my realtor will he be able to show me? If so, maybe ill try to get an image i can scan in.

Museum Park 3

No, they were not. It was more like a poster board laying on the floor in front of other poster boards with images of their other buildings. It was more like a sketch than a picture. It had both museum park west and this new building drown side by side. The agent told me that she did not anticipate this happening in the next couple of years. I don't think that unit sales of museum park west are going that well . That is the case of many other projects in the city. I got the feeling that they are waiting for the market to pick up a little and to have sold more units in the one museum park west building first before moving foreword. At least they are talking about it.

New Building

Is the location of this proposed OMP3 where the sales office is currently located? OMPW is located at Roosevelt and Indiana and I don't think there is any more room unless they put it on the west side of Indiana. Can someone confirm?

^^^NO, OMP3 is west of Indiana Avenue. The sales trailor site is slated for a yet undetermined development. It could be anything between townhomes and a small high-rise.

OMPW not selling well?

I have heard from numerous sources that they are doing just fine. I will talk to my realtor (who works out of the sales center) and see what he says.

Thanks for the correction! I had only heard it from the mouth of the construction worker, so please pardon my spelling error. Most of what I know about foundations is from the Clyde Baker interview on Emporis, and he never mentions secant piles.

Wow, this one's so high, and it still has a ways to go! Amazing to see how much they have built up this area. It really helps to extend the skyline southward.

I have heard (more than once) that there was another 80 story building that was being planned for Central Station. I don't know if this is heresay, but I do know that they were not referring to the nearby proposal for Park Michigan.

If you are standing on the northwest corner of Randolph/Michigan ave intersection, you'll be surprised to see OMP as the most dominant on the southern end of Grant Park.
