Bruce Springsteen performing with the E-Street Band at Hamilton’s Copps Coliseum in March?
Right now it’s just a very good rumour. On Monday, however, that rumour will likely become reality.
The Springsteen fan website, backstreets.com, is currently abuzz with rumours of the upcoming Hamilton show.
“I’m aware of those rumours, but I can neither confirm or deny them,” says Duncan Gillespie, CEO of Hamilton Entertainment and Convention Facilities Inc., which operates Copps Coliseum. “I can tell you, however, that I will be making a major concert announcement on Monday, Nov. 19.”
Springsteen, known to his legion of fans simply as “The Boss,” is in the midst of a critically acclaimed tour with the E-Street Band to promote their new album, Magic. The band features Clarence Clemens on sax and Steve Van Zandt on guitar.
No tour dates have been officially scheduled in Hamilton, but concerts have been announced nearby in Buffalo, N.Y., (March 7) and Rochester, N.Y. (March 6).
