self made HDRs

because I know we love HDR!

Here are some photos I took in 2003. I used three different exposures and spliced them together, You can clearly see where the pics were spliced. I wanted to capture everything in those pictures and I guess that is what HDR does. It finds the best light levels and splices pictures together. That is why you get all of those crazy edges.

Juxtaposition / inconcruence / inequality

You know these aren't Calgary photos?
Plus, they don't really look HDR to me.

You want some decent HDR, look at Brandon's photostream.

The Calgary Planning Commission has done an "interactive photo gallery" as part of their 100th year celebration. It has to be played with to be appreciated:

Was the Greyhound building really torn down due to structural issues as stated in the really nice photo of the building?

PS:
They have created a Flickr group which has some interesting photos as well:

^ Love that last one, Witty.

I had about 7.5 hours to kill during my flight home from St. John's today. Playing games would have drained my battery, so I played around in Lightroom instead.

These are from last Spring. Kinda touristy, but whenever I come back here I feel like a tourist, so I guess that makes sense.

Thanks for the awesome picture updates guys. Love the last one showing the dynamic glazing on the bow. It seriously changes all day long.
