The developer for Fenwick Tower in Halifax finally got a construction permit so they'll be starting work soon and a crane will be going up in the spring. They're going to be adding 3 floors onto the structure and a curved decorative roof so post-redevelopment it will likely be in the 110-120 meter range, and it will have 34-36 floors depending on what you count. There are elevations with the heights shown but unfortunately I can't read what they say because they were scanned in at a low resolution!
That look is appearing more and more up here. It's inexpensive and makes properties stand out from the typical EIFS crap. One of Thunder Bay's up-and-coming shopping hubs is just a bunch of buildings designed in that style, though with a degree of rusticism since they weren't re-cladding a 60s era internationalist box.

It looks like faux white picket fences on the left, but nicely improved on the right. And the other changes make it a more attractive, modern building. It goes from standing out as an eyesore to completely blending into the background unoffensively. I think that's a great improvement.

They did that with an old brown-brick 10 story eyesore in the Beltline in Calgary as well. I don't have any pics right now but it is a marked improvement. They added some nice vibrant red panneling up the sides, all new windows with vivid white trim, I don't think they replaced the balcony railings though which really fucks with the new feel, as the railings are just brown-painted metal. Bleh.

Toronto recently had this restoration/reclad at Queen and Bathurst. The old Reverb/Kathedral/Big Bop music venue (where I actually played a couple times).
I'm personally torn because I loved playing there and it was a good part of my life, but the reclad is definitely good for the building and the area. Looks much better.
Bonus, tiny picture, but this is what the building originally looked like. Shame it lost the roof:
