Driving through the city last night the lantern was off. I was dissapointed because I wanted my friend to see it.

Thanks for the replies. It's a fascinating structure. I didn't realize there was that much variation in the glass panels. You need to have a firm understanding of optics to create some of the effects seen on the building at different times of the day/year.

The sky was great on Friday for taking some photos, so after work I went back to the spot I took the shot I posted a couple of weeks ago. This time I took a real camera instead of my cell phone (even though that came out great).

You may need to zoom out a bit in your browser. Sorry, I shrunk the originals by 80%, but they're still a bit tall.

I dodged traffic for about 30 minutes trying to get the first one framed right.

This one is cut off at the bottom because somebody stuck a building in my line of sight. Sheesh!

What's the deal with the grid-pattern in the fins under the missing window in the top left in that same post?

Those are pieces that will hold the fins to the building

Those first and last images are absolutely stunning. Philadelphia is well on its way to becoming a world-class city.

Comcast cares!
In fact, they care so much that they are planning a third tower.
Hopefully they will care enough to build a rooftop observation deck.

(Off topic) The posts TCO finds are all on Instagram, which is a great source for nice photos. You can find many by searching hashtags in the search bar

it's kind of a shame this ill-proportioned misfire obliterates the rest of the skyline from the steps of the art museum.
