I'm sorry this isn't totally relevant but is anyone else getting a ''please update your account to enable 3rd party hosting'' error on people's post images? If there are construction photos or renderings or whatever being posted, I'm not seeing them.
Yes, and I'm extremely annoyed about it. See here for more discussion.

Apparently this is "only" 35% sold as of now. It seems like many reservations did not turn into signed contracts. I let my own reservation expire; looks like I was one of many...
Regardless of Vista's construction quality, this promo video is well done and offers some great aerial flyovers of the area. (I had to manually reselect 1080 for HD to kick in. Your mileage may vary.)
Looks cool in the renderings, but how is that furniture style island sink really going to work? plumbing up the legs and venting to? I'd love to know the physics behind it.

A very similar island is already installed in the Cosmopolitan. There is a small connection for water supply, vent, and drain in the center of the island. It isn't really noticeable unless you get down and look for it. Venting works by the typical island sink method, which is similar to below:
Not a size queen like some on this forum but I thought it would look taller than it does.
Thanks!
I didn't think it looked that stubby. I had to get pretty far away to get it to fit in my cell phone camera. It's 21 stories, so not short, but not as tall as it's neighbor the Cosmopolitan.
ANOTHER dark charcoal gray skin!?!? When will this dreary trend come to an end? When will the Design Commission just say No?
Personally, I really like those panels. The texture is really interesting. I am *extremely* glad not to have bright-colored buildings at that location. I already see too many outside my own window.
I'm not crazy, either, about the grey Equitone panels on the south and north sides, particularly in relationship to the colorless mediocrity of NV (the rotating of that tower is looking more and more like a significant error IMO). I also noted the incredible flatness of the panels when looking directly south at the building from the Fremont bridge -- it almost doesn't look real. Otherwise thumbs up, looks and feels great from the park.

Agreed. I was at a block party on the other end of NW 13th Ave last night, outside Wieden & Kennedy. Somewhat to my surprise it was possible to see the NV from that far away, and the rotated form just seemed so out of place.
