It's still a really nice looking building. It will be a nice additional layer to our skyline.

I'm looking at this project as a pure density killer. So the top didn't come out the way we had hoped. It's not a bad project and it should help to fill a couple gaps in the skyline on the eastern side of Yonge Street.

I think the reason the top got lopped like that was due to some shadowing concerns at the nearby park .

I actually like the top in that last diagram. It's something different to look at.

Funny enough, most people on the other forum hate the newly designed top.

Would be 100 times better without all that glass and the original finish at the top.

The application to demolish the existing building has been submitted to the city.

Work could begin on this one a bit earlier than we had expected.

Wait and see situation now, I guess...

I really hope this one gets built, it'll improve the eastern part of the skyline. Overall I think it's a very well planned tower. I could go with a better top, but we can't always get our way, unfortunately. But the architectural quality on the building is incredibly great.

So you just prefer a giant box as a skyscraper?

This and Bay Adelaide are going to be the next giant skyscrapers to begin construction in Toronto.
