Because the roof covers a significant area of the spectators, the loudspeakers should be able to directed down rather than out. This should reduce echoes caused by sound delay.

Rider improvements including dressing and training rooms, store, offices.

I think the wording mentioned is substantial completion upon turnover. I'd say it's substantially complete.

Does anyone know when they are scheduled to build the bike path from downtown to the new stadium?

It's supposed to be North of the rail tracks, which is currently parking during Rider games and parking for the stadium construction crew. I'm guessing they'll add a path closer to the stadium opening, or even during the 2017 season.

Hope Regina will bid again for the Canada Summer Games. That stadium would be killer for the opening and closing ceremonies

I do not think they have finalized the plans or budget for this. Hopefully it is done in '17 but who knows.

A big "City of Regina" sign appears to be going up on the back of the Maxtron.

Well, it might be too big. Next year in Winnipeg, the only event being held at IGF is the closing ceremony. That's it. Not athletics, nothing. Stadium is too big for the crowds that typically attend Canada Games events. Opening ceremonies is indoors at MTS Centre. Kind of disappointing.

I guess they'd rather have a full or almost full arena than a mostly empty stadium. Which makes sense.

^ All you can really use football stadiums like NMS or IGF for in terms of actual Canada Games competition is soccer, but there's probably no need for such a large facility for that purpose. Apart from that, just opening and closing ceremonies.

Yeah. And soccer was moved from IGF to the soccer complex on Waverley. Also with the football lines sewn into NMS turf, might be a bit confusing for soccer. Although I see they have the yellow lines in. Not sure if that is soccer or field hockey.

I doubt it would be that confusing. You'd get used to looking for the yellow line in a hurry. I remember playing sports in high school gyms that had all sorts of markings for basketball, volleyball, heaven knows what else, but if you're playing a game you quickly internalize which lines matter.

There will be several signs in the back & either side, in addition to a dome shaped feature across the top.

It looks like they are installing netting in the endzones that are presumably nets to catch field goal attempts?
Not sure I remember any cfl stadium using field goal nets? I thought they just let them go into the fans.

CanadInns Stadium used to have one in the north end zone stands. I can't think of any other places off hand that had them, but I'm sure Winnipeg wasn't alone in that regard. Maybe Hamilton?

Doesn't IGF have them? Hanging from a wire that spans from the upper decks? They get raised and lowered for each attempt. Or I might be crazy.

Edit: You can see it at the bottom corner of this photo.

^ I'm pretty sure you're right, they're suspended from cables as you pointed out.

Seems completely unnecessary especially now that a convert would have to travel well over 60 yards to make it into the crowd.
