^ Haha...yes we did. Wrong thread But......

The wife enjoyed Caramel pecan Waffles. Goat cheese on side. Really good. Wife said better than Cora!

I had the Basic breakfast. Hash browns were seasoned like I have never had. Tasty. Sausage was not that good. Weird taste and a little burnt. So I ordered a side of bacon. Coffee tasted like Juan Valdez grind the beans there himself! All comes with price of room. All taxes in plus 20.00 for parking!!! 230.00. Also wine cheese and crackers in room when we arrived.

Dave those images of the river were great. As your comment said you can't believe you are in the middle of a million people. All the years I spent on the river rowing were also some of the most relaxing mentally. And yes the river is low this year. but we used to see low water all the time. when a seagull walked beside you while rowing you knew you were in shallow water.

Decided to get out and shoot around the Lege on Friday night, joined by sahlgoode and our buddy Will (oudzo on Flickr). My main goal was to finally see the new fountains, but got some great shots elsewhere around the grounds.

By the way, the new Centennial Plaza is just fantastic. I know parts of the project were a bit of a boondoggle, and we still won't have a skating rink this winter, but what we got still is an amazing addition to this city.

The place was just buzzing with people of all stripes, families, and kids all wandering around the grounds, sitting and relaxing, biking, and playing in the fountains all through the evening and into the night. It was just awesome. Downtown just keeps getting better.

So! Photos!

Oh, and finally, the new fountain I went to go take photos of:
