The Matress Factory is a weird museum in Pittsburgh's North Shore:

They had a game where you could toss a thorny ring crown on the head of Jesus.

They had some triangles with blinking lights...

Nice additions, thanks

Do you really plan to keep this up during your entire education at Pitt? If so, good luck, and that would be awesome!

Thursday during G20. There was not as much going on downtown as I hoped, but in other parts of the city, there was major drama. In Lawrencville, mass mob of people clashed with police, elsewhere businesses got windows busted. Here in Oakland, on Pitt's campus at around midnight, there was a riot and police threw teargas (I was not there, just what I heard). Also, Obama's motorcade held up the bus I was on for 15-20 minutes in downtown.

And this morning, as I was trying to get to the only class that I had (Spanish, ruined my potential 4 day weekend), there was a crowd of people walking down 5th Ave towards downtown.

We begin with photos of downtown, without protesters. Streets were empty and some businesses were closed and boarded up:

Just admiring the architecture:

The three T subway stations were closed, trains only came into downtown as far as First Ave Station (this is Gateway Plaza):

Now, the protests. I saw two, one for Tibet's freedom from China, and one for the legalization of Weed.

This guy seconds before I could snap this pic was walking like a Nazi hailing Hitler:

I will go back to retake the night photos. I definitely need a new camera, this TZ3 is just not good enough at night.

Anyways, these are taken from the walkway in the North Shore:

Those pics look great man but why are they so small? Can't you post them about 2-3 times larger than that??

I could but they would be very noisy and take up a lot of space. Like I said, I really want a new camera that takes better low light/night photos. I love Canon and Pansonic, and if they make a compact with long zoom zoom (like Panny compacts currently have), HD video, manual controls, and a good sensor like Sony's Exmor R Cmos sensor, then I'll be all over it and able to show you larger versions of my photos.

I have a Canon PowerShot A590 w/ IS that does just that. I'm not sure about that sensor Sony has though that you speak of. I would test one out first though before you consider purchasing it.

This is the sensor. I had a Canon A620 in the past that was great, but I lost it on the way back from a family reunion in Alaska (was a great trip, but I lost 2 cameras on it ). Anyways, the camera I want is the replacement to the current Panasonic ZS3/TZ7 (due out in February) which already is great. If all Panny does is add the new Sony sensor and manual controls, I will be very happy.

Pitt is my favorite school. I wish I would have gone there, but I still support the school and its sports teams.
