CALGARY | Park Point | 35 & 27 floors | 107 M & 84 M

Here's a sneak peek of the main tower of Calgary's latest major residential development, Park Point!

The complex will consist of one 35 storey tower at 107 meters, and a second tower of 27 storeys at 84 meters. Sales will be launching in the spring.

http://qualex.ca/parkpoint/

It will be located adjacent to Central Memorial Park in Calgary's densely populated Beltline neighbourhood.

Chad: I think the height in meters might be a little low. 35 floors, residential sounds more like 120 + or - a meter or two.

Progress is being made on the discovery centre/show suites at the corner of 11th Avenue and 2nd Street SW.

It'd look better if they had just kept the cladding that uniform dark scheme (on the top floors) on the whole tower.

I kind of like the contrasting colors, but yeah, it would also look pretty cool with the whole building being darker.

To each their own, but I actually prefer the contrast between the light and dark colours.

Here is the latest rendering of Park Point. It only shows one tower, even though the development permit specifies two towers - with the shorter 27 storey tower being just north of the one shown in the rendering.

Looks like the SE corner balcony is rounded.

I hope there's some kind of a "Roof" that is about 30' or so.... Something's missing on top!

^I think what you see in the renderings is the final design.

I am definitely disappointed in the design. Very basic, cookie cutter box.

Let’s hope Qualex put’s in better plumbing than Stella and Calla.

^^ Very "Cookie-cutter"! That's why I thought a little "Roof" treatment might help. ^^

Qualex-Landmark has said ground breaking will be early 2015 (Jan. or Feb.)

I hope they will switch up General Contractors (but doubt they will).

The design overall is pretty basic and somewhat cookie cutter, but I'm okay with that as long as the materials used on the building are quality materials.
