Unless you count Brazil (might be considered Latino, as in Latin American but not Hispanic).

Interesting to see how close the race is between Florida, New York and Texas for largest black population

And Georgia. Only four states have a Black population over 3 million - Texas 3.6 mil, Florida 3.5 mil, New York 3.5 mil, Georgia 3.4 mil.

America is the Chicago of the World, firmly locked in third place.

That map (post #1945) reminds me of the terraforming days in Sim City 4. In fact, there was a U.S. map available on simtropolis for download. Good times!

Sim City is addicting, but now talking about it, I kinda wanna dive back into it. So many hours dumped into that game. Literally, you start playing, and 14 hours go by as you build your city, and deal with traffic complaints. SC4 was the best one; what they did with the most recent ones, is a crime.

Even more interesting (though not surprising) is to see how California isn't in the race.

I spent many a long hour creating cities in SC4. I think the largest I ever created was close to 4 million in population. the new SC is a joke, unfortunately.

if you haven't given Cities: Skylines a try, it's pretty decent, much better than the new SC.

In 1990, I believe California had the 2nd largest black population in the country. Now, it's about to drop out of the top 5 when North Carolina passes it in a few years.

Good observation and yes I agree with you. Atlanta looks smaller than St. Louis.

I think they're using city populations here, which is why NYC looks twice as big as LA. The CSA gap isnt that large.

I doubt they are. If so, why do Seattle, San Francisco, Minneapolis, St. Louis and several other cities all look larger than San Antonio?

I don't know. Look at S.F. [pop 800k] and then look at Phoenix [pop 1.6 million]

Or Charlotte versus Raleigh.
