I would hardly consider this a skyline but I snapped this shot of what little skyline Lower Sackville, NS has:

^Nice pictures "dartmouthian"

Since when has the McD Bridge been so bright. It looks like a star (not in a good way)!

Amherst is Getting everything taken from Moncton, right from building oppertunities to the Center of the Maritimes title. Its sad enough Moncton is buying away buisnesses from us. I belive Amherst is gonna get somewhere!

Hey, I'm from Moncton and I don't consider myself anti-Amherst at all. Your fine town is only 40 minutes away and I get down there every few months. I've noticed that things have been picking up in Amherst over the last 5-10 years. The industrial park has a number of new businesses and certainly there have been a number of new retail developments out by the highway. The new hospital also looks nice. I think Amherst is doing quite well. You just have to work on your downtown a bit, that's all.

Is isn't the glass tower the Holiday Inn Building? Or are they the same thing?

I have family who lives in the Amherst area and I can say that the town is growing very nicely out by the highway.

But like previous posted your downtown could do with some work This building could actually spark a makeover of the downtown and its buildings. I've always loved the streetscape in Amherst, its very urban feeling.

Downtown is my favorite part of Amherst, We are growing alot more and to see projects like the Terrace, you know your town is getting somewhere. In my opinion we need a Office Building for just any company to move into. If only I could plan Downtown myself..

Just thought I'd throw this out here;

Theres a new flickr group for Canadian Skylines

HERE

It would be great to see some more Atlantic Canadian photos on it. I've already posted one for Halifax but I don't have any other city skyline photos.

Good to see this thread still alive. Once I renew my pbase account, I'll get that Edmundston one up that I took on my drive out to Alberta. Things are just crazy out here.

As for Amherst, I was very impressed with it when I decided to head into downtown for my old photo thread a couple years back.

Thanks for the link, Bedford DJ, I'll have to sift through my photos to see if there's anything worth posting in there (that I took myself).

Been through many times on my way to university in Quebec. It feels alot like Quebec in that town, with the metal roofs, paper mill, french folks.
